Radio Without Pictures
So my bright idea to give away a book didn’t garner much interest – so far, only three peeps have posted a domestic disaster. But I can’t tell if that is a sign that means it doesn’t bode well for book sales or that the people I know are such sophisticated cooks/cleaners/home-handy women that they’ve never bleached a whole load of black washing or poisoned their dinner guests.
Either way, I’m grateful (I think) that the media have been more interested in The Modern Woman’s Guide to Domestic Bliss than you lot. Over the next few weeks there are excerpts slated to run in women’s magazines, reviews coming out in all the papers, and I have to do 18 – 18! – radio interviews over the next five days. The first is today, so I’ve spent the weekend revising the book to remind myself what I wrote about all those months ago. If I had longer to prepare, I’d be working on my bogan kiwi accent, but there’s not enough time for that, so I’ll just make do.
For those of you who have been asking, you can buy the book from overseas, from one of these online booksellers (I don’t know why they’ve got such weird names, but they do):
